The creation of anything requires time, skill and expertise. True relationships do not happen by chance, they take time to build.
Building relationships is a wonderful opportunity to discover who you really are. Most relationships that we entertain are a reflection of those qualities we either have in our self or aspire to develop in ourselves.
Always began the building with truth and honesty. Allow the other person to see and share with the real you. I have been told by the participants of Common Ground that they do not allow people to see them in their fullness at first. They wait, wear masks to cover the real person, until that person has proved they are worthy to really know them. The masks serve as a protection and a hiding place. My question to them is what does that say about you? Are you afraid or ashamed of whom you are? Why not allow the person to see the real you? What if you are missing out on a great friendship? What if that person transitioned before you have the opportunity to show them who you really are?
When we have nothing to hide and no longer are ruled by fear of people getting too close or not liking the real you, then we can proudly show up in our authentic self at all times. Regardless to the situation we are pleased of who we are and have become and fully desire for others to ‘see’ us in full expression.
Do you always show up in true identity? Do you wear masks depending on the circumstances? Do you first appear one way, then as the relationship builds and you feel more comfortable you become another person? Become the person who desire to be so that you can always demonstrate the authentic you! Be proud of who you are at all times. Express yourself fully.
Build the relationship with you first. Know you are a child of God; worthy, deserving, complete, healthy, and whole. Honor yourself at all times. Be kind to you, be loving to you and be forgiving of yourself. Love you and allow others to love you in return.
