Today is my anniversary date of providing counseling sessions to Common Ground, an AIDS Service Organization (ASO) in Atlanta Georgia. I dedicate this message to my incredible extended family.
I am consistently inspired by this group of amazing souls. They have been shunned by society, families and religious organizations. Some have been cast out, labeled as sinners, no good, and other rather harsh names. Yet to get to know them and to share in their lives is an honor to me.
What I know with certainty is that they are no different from me or you. They have not committed a sin for which God is cursing them with the virus. Neither are they doomed to death while still living. They are alive and worthy of respect and dignity.
To be a part of this family has surely humbled me. My message is always the same, they each are a child of God. Each made in the image and after the likeness of The Creator. God loves them regardless, there can never be any separation between them and The Source.
This family is the most loving and gracious individuals I have met. The environment is always warm and friendly. Each supports the other in going through whatever challenge they may be facing. They demonstrate acceptance of one another.
I love and honor each person that I have come to know personally. As I give my best to them and expect the best from them, I am always gifted with wonderful outcomes. Each has gone beyond the labels, hurts and pains to grow into the most loving person they can be. I am very proud of each one.
As I celebrate my anniversary of being called into a Ministry serving God’s children I ask you to examine your thoughts, words and deeds directed at any individual that you may have not been as lovable as you could be towards. Always remember, they too are a child of The Most High God!
I see all living creatures co-existing peacefully with one another. A culture void of competition, greed, jealously, fear and hatred. I see a culture where love reigns supreme. I see a culture that completely accepts and honors difference as a norm of reality. I see a culture that inspires and encourages the exchange of all. I see Love that radiates from all and through all in this New Culture.
This New Culture embraces change and growth, it expands with creativity. It is a utopia that inspires and motivates, it soothes and caresses the tender aspects of life and living.
This New Culture is possible. I can aide in the creation of this New Culture within my sphere of influence. I can help establish and build this perfect dwelling place with those I encounter on my journey through life. My path is amply supplied with opportunities for my expression of unconditional love and acceptance.
This New Culture will be cultivated with like-minded individuals. It will be built by the hue-manity that truly desires a world where everyone is treated as equal individuals. This New Culture is the result of knowing we are each divinely inspired and created to belong to a family, a worldwide family of respect, honor and love.
This New Culture is exactly where I reside. I create this New Culture. I embrace this New Culture. I cherish this New Culture.
I give Thanks to The Creator for the manifestation of this New Culture during my lifetime! I Am this New Culture!
I begin each day by listening for the melodic sounds of the birds that call my property their home. I can hear such a vast array of melodies. They are all around together creating a perfect symphony.
Have you ever noticed two strange animals meeting for the first time? There is usually a sense of curiosity and then a romping good time shared. I sit and watch. I find it incredible that the least advanced forms of creation can live in complete harmony!
In my back yard are wild rabbits, squirrels, stray cats and birds. I have never witnessed a struggle or fight with them. They just seem to come and go, allowing the other the freedom to do as they please.
How about observing plant growth? The weeds and the beautiful flowers can coexist side by side, growing in the same patch of earth.
I choose to allow the simple life forms to teach me how to live. I choose to live in harmony with all others. My way is my way. It is no better or worse than someone else. I do not judge people. I trust we are all doing the best we can at any given time. When we know better, we do better.
I choose harmony as the corner stone of my personal sanctuary. I create and live in harmony. Harmony is music to my ears, to my life. As I encounter people with different views than my own, I stop and listen eagerly wanting to learn from them. I love the variety in people. I love to see the richness in each culture. I appreciate knowing that we each exist to add beauty to the other.
Harmony is a grand opportunity to show gratitude for one’s life. I choose to live IN harmony today and always.
Today I give my Best! I give my best to myself first. I truly appreciate who I am. I honor myself with uncontrollable gratitude. I see only good in myself. I give my best as a direct reflection of my consciousness. I am my Best and therefore I share my Best.
What is your best? Be willing to share it today with all others and yourself.
My best is always demonstrated by a genuine, welcoming smile. My best is unconditional Love shown to myself and others. My best is saying “Good Morning” and making the person feel it is indeed a good morning. My best is taking care of myself so I free others to take care of themselves. My best is generosity of kindness. My best is saying, “Thank You. I Appreciate You. I Love You.” My best is believing we each can stretch a little farther and being a cheerleader to get the WIN! My best is trusting the process. My best is giving a gentle hug to those I meet. My best is always insisting that every person know they can and they will. My best is stretching beyond my self-imposed limitations. My best is serving humanity in a kind and loving manner.
I give my best and I receive the best from others. I graciously accept the best from others even if it does not match my expectations. I admire those who give their best especially in challenging conditions. I honor and respect each person that desires to give their best, even as they are discovering what their best is. I am grateful for the opportunity to receive the best others have to share with me.
Declare your Blessings today. Know that everything that is present in your life is a gift.
I graciously receive my gifts from Heaven. I know that I have prepared myself for this manifestation of all good. I have completed the required course work to move forward. I am a good student and I have learned well. I am ready for graduation.
Everything I receive is a gift from Heaven. That simply sounds good and very therapeutic to my soul. My Spirit is alive and well. I reap bountiful Blessings.
I release each bit of anything that has no place in my state of newness. I reside in a constant state of Higher Consciousness. My Energy is soaring to new heights and I fly like an eagle. I glide through all situations knowing and trusting that I am headed in the perfect direction for my Highest Joy and Greatest Peace. I remain in a pure state of Thanksgiving and allow more and more to come into my awareness.
Yes! Everything I receive IS A GIFT FROM HEAVEN. It is so because I claim it as so. I desire and deserve the Best of Everything. It is my inherited right to these riches. I do not submit to lower vibrations or expectations. I rise and ask others to rise with me.
I willingly share from my storehouse of Abundance. I have more than enough to share. It is my joyous privilege to share with others. My good is overflowing and bountiful. Thanks God for each and every Blessing that I am experiencing.
Thanks God for Your Grace and Mercy. Thanks God for sustaining me through all. Thanks God for my creation and existence. Thanks God for filling me up to overflowing with Good Life, Joy, Peace, Love, and Wisdom.
Let us celebrate all that is good and very good. Let us keep our attention on the vastness of The Almighty.
Goodness is everywhere present. There is goodness in life and living. There is goodness in creation and recreation. There is goodness in death. There is goodness all around us every day.
There is JOY all around when you decide to notice it. Gradually more and more of my personal friends are telling me how incredible it has been for them to begin noticing the goodness that has been around them all the time that they had not noticed before. Like sitting at a pool of water and first only seeing the water in the pool but by consciously expanding their vision to include other objects soon they saw the trees, birds and finally the sky and clouds being reflected on the water.
Goodness is often not thought of when you talk about death or transitions but there is beauty and goodness in that person’s life. A wise elder once told me that as long as we call and say the person’s name they are never dead. Spirit never dies. So I talk fondly of all the wonderful souls that have blessed me with their presence for how ever long it was. When I catch myself doing something that reminds me of that person I remark to them how much I miss their physical presence but love that they are in my heart forever. Spirit never dies.
Goodness is all around us. We may need to do an adjustment on how we perceive something but the fact remains it is All Good All The Time!
Today celebrate all the goodness in your life! Be Thankful! Be mindful of your many Blessings! You are Goodness in Human form!!!
What do you hear when people tell you who they are? Do you listen to them or do you process it through the personal filter of your expectations? Do you hear their reality or do you hear blah, blah, blah because you need to hear only what you choose to hear? In the end you want to blame the person for not being who you assumed they would be.
Most people show up in their authenticity and when we listen to what they have to say we can truly learn who they are. Yet we often miss the message because we are not truly listening. People really do tell us who they are, even if it does not sound like what we want to hear them say.
Practice intentional listening; truly listen to what is being said by the other person. They will tell you the truth about who they are. Do not allow your expectations to interfere with what you hear. What are they telling you about themselves? Are they unavailable? Are they afraid? Do they need you to support them: emotionally, mentally or spiritually? Do they desire to share themselves and looking for a safe environment for that to occur?
I hear from many people their frustrations about a relationship that ended bitterly. In most instances it stems from one or both not sincerely listening to the other. One or both played the game of selfish motivation. They wanted the other person to be what they needed them to be and not who they truly were.
Today participate in total surrender to listening to what people are saying to you. You will receive rich blessings by uncovering the depths of the true souls of folks. You will hear stories of desires, goals, past pains and hurts, a longing to be heard by others.
Thank God for gifting you with two ears and one mouth. This implies we are to listen twice as much as we talk.
