WHAT IS FAMILY??

© Sandy Rodgers Ministries

May 31st

I have a friend that once shared with me something his son had told him earlier in life. His son simply said, “Dad there is family and then there’s relatives.” His son was saying in a most innocent manner that not all those in our bloodline are necessarily family. And those that we may not share the same blood with can be closer than those that we do.

I have many members in my family. Yes you are right, not all are from the same linage, either on my mother or father side. My family is large, multi-cultural, multi-ethnic and live everywhere around the globe.

I love adding to my family. It seems there is always someone new that belongs to my family. When I relocated I was immediately adopted by a group of men folks that sincerely loved and adored me. Thank God/Goddess because I knew no one in my new city. I felt blessed because I had just left the family, both immediate and extended, that I had grown to love and cherish.

What I discovered was, there is room enough for everyone when you love from your core of being. You can serve in several positions within the family as well. One of my aforementioned family members was more like a father than anyone else. Yet he was younger than I was. He served in the position with great pride. The others became my brothers or sons.

My larger, extended family now consists of members from all walks of life. They live in Africa, they live in Canada, they are living with the virus, and they are making a better community where I live. They all share a common denominator, their love and appreciation of life.

Describe your family for yourself. Is your family restricted to only those who share the same bloodline with you? You may be missing out on a tremendous blessing if you have never considered adding to your family.

Yes I have relatives also, like anyone else. But I have more family than relatives. Thanks God/Goddess.

ANOTHER MIRACLE

May 30th

Miracles are all around us. Do you see them? Look closer and they will pop out at you.

Today I behold the miracle in all of life. I look at the animals and I witness the splendid color in each. I pay attention to the uniqueness. No two are alike. This awesome miracle is evident in all of life. No two of anything is exactly alike.

That is a Powerful God/Goddess that can create each individual living thing unique. The colors of the flowers are so different, so vibrant, and so absolutely colorful. Even petals growing from the same plant are different. I am an observer of life. I love the wonderment of it all. God/Goddess is Awesome! God/Goddess paints the landscape with remarkable colors. The varieties are lovely; roses, lilies, daisies, daffodils, orchids, and the list go on. Look at them; see the beauty in each one. It is truly amazing and pleasing to the sight.

God/Goddess then clothes the animals uniquely. The birds of the sky are one of my favorites. I love the Cardinals and their gorgeous red coloring. The splendid variety in the hues of the birds that roam the sky is fascinating. I see Robins and Sparrows. I see Eagles and Hawks. I see the Jaybird and Owls. What birds are gracing your vision? Each so lavishly adorned with beauty.

God/Goddess has also given His children this special treatment, no two are alike. I honor the unique difference that is inherent in each person I know. I am always delighted with the gift that is given to me by these incredible individuals. Just a word or a glance is often enough to satisfy me. A smile, an embrace can soothe me like nothing else.

The Miracle is in acknowledging the ever present Beauty in all of everything that God/Goddess has created. It is truly a miracle when we stop and fully intake the variety and uniqueness that is there.

Today I digest the beauty in the Miracle of all Life! I enjoy the simple pleasures and am satisfied. Thanks God/Goddess for Your Goodness!

STANDING STRONG IN SPIRIT

© Sandy Rodgers Ministries

May 29th

To stand strong in Spirit is to truly know Spirit. Spirit is available to each one of us. We can connect with the awesome power of The Most High Holy Spirit when we choose to do so.

I stand strong in Spirit knowing Whose I am, a child of God/Goddess. I stand on the firm foundation of Spiritual Truth. This foundation is unshakable. I take time daily to communicate with my inner Spirit. This communication is incredible and sends wondrous energy throughout my body. I am energized by this communication. I feel renewed when I connect. It is awesome to know Spirit is always available to me. All I need to do is to call upon the Power and it is mine!

I stand in Spirit by allowing myself to freely express the goodness that is within me. I share with others from my storehouse of plenty. I have plenty of love and joy. I have plenty of words of support and encouragement. I have plenty of positive gestures, a smile, or a nod of approval. I express God/Goddess in all of my interactions with others.

I stand strong in Spirit by being good to myself. I treat myself as I would have others treat me. I nourish my inner Spirit by being honest with myself at all times. I love me unconditionally! I forgive myself whenever it is required. I talk loving words to myself. I wrap the warmth of God/Goddess around me and walk tall.

Yes today I stand strong in Spirit. Only good comes to me this day. I rejoice in my constant connection with Spirit.

I give Thanks!

May 28th

You are alive and well, means you are worthy! You are a breathing soul, means that you are worthy. The precious blood that circulates through your body, means you are worthy! By simply BE-ing you are worthy!!!

I declare and accept my worthiness right now! I know that my life has meaning, value and worth. I am a deserving human, deserving of all honor, respect and dignity. I choose to not give or compromise myself in any situation. I cherish my self-worth.

I know I Am Worthy because I Am a God/Goddess-child. I Am heir to the Kingdom of The Creator. My worth has nothing to do with the kind of work I perform or the material possessions I own. My Worth is freely given to me through my life and existence.

I accept I Am worthy through God/Goddess’ Grace and Mercy! I acknowledge all others with this same attribute of Worthiness. We are each the same.

It is my job to recognize the God/Goddess-presence in every person I encounter. I choose to honor their presence and accept they are worthy souls on this journey of life with me. My life is enriched by the multitudes. My circle of friends is filled with worthy folks. My family represents all worthy individuals. The stranger on the street is a worthy child of God/Goddess. The meek, sick and shut-in are all worthy folks. The disabled, handicap and challenged are all worthy.

In memory of those that have departed this physical plane, I honor your valued contributions to my existence. I know you are forever a worthy element of this vast Universe.

I add value by accepting and expressing my worthiness. I seek and see worthy folks all around me, everyplace I go. We are all the same.

THE SMALL STUFF

© Sandy Rodgers Ministries

May 27th

The small stuff is the situations that appear in your life as opportunities for you to grow and expand. Small stuff can be challenges often seen as difficulties. Small stuff is everything that cannot and will not add value to your life. The small stuff is anything that you cannot control. The small stuff is just that, small stuff. The small stuff can be irritating and bothersome. The small stuff is annoying and unimportant.

I choose to use my energy and time wisely by focusing on the things that really matter to me. My life is important to me. What I do with my life is important to me. How I can serve others is important. What I say and do is important. How I treat others is important. I choose to invest my time and energy in those things I have decided are important to me.

The BIG stuff is Life! The BIG stuff is family and friends. The BIG stuff is Joy and Peace. The BIG stuff is serving others. The BIG stuff is Absolute, Unconditional Love, pure and simple.

I live my life understanding that my actions may affect others. My actions can help or hinder, assist or detract, add or subtract. I choose for my actions to reflect the BIG stuff of life and not the small. I choose to add to all situations with positive words and deeds.

God/Goddess is my BIG stuff! BIG enough to handle all situations in any kind of condition. Huge, Humongous that’s my GOD/GODDESS. With God/Goddess there is no need to concern myself with the small stuff. What relief to know I can and do call on The Most High to handle my small stuff. I concentrate on the BIG stuff!

FEEDING EMOTIONS

© Sandy Rodgers Ministries

May 26th

What do you feed your emotions? What emotions are you experiencing?

When we have good vibrational emotions we feel good and exuberant. We can laugh and truly enjoy life. We can choose to remain in this state or we can give that power away to another force.

Negative emotions have a tendency to rob us of happiness. Sometimes we feed them with food or other drugs. I use the term drugs to include all unhealthy activities. So regardless to what that something is that you feed off in times when you cannot give yourself positive words, it is a drug. A drug is an artificial stimulant and can be just about anything in the world.

Today I choose my emotions carefully. I consciously go and stay at a higher state of awareness. My emotions today are positive. I only allow positive emotions to exist for me this day. I meditate on positive thoughts.

I pray for Peace and Harmony. I am Joy and Love today. I surround myself with Light and Truth as I move through this day. It is my choice. My experiences are a reflection of the emotions I am carrying and expecting.

Today I feed upon the rich promises of God/Goddess. I know that I can choose my experiences, therefore I choose wisely. I feed upon the Goodness and Grace of God/Goddess. I feast from the Storehouse of Plenty. I am abundantly supplied.

Thanks God/Goddess for allowing me choice and free will. I know I have complete control of my life. I choose for it to be good and very good. I expect and experience good all the time.

I constantly feed my emotions Truth, Love, Joy and Happiness. I know that which I give out returns to me pressed down, shaken together and multiplied. That is the principle of reap and sow.

I feed my emotions Love and more Love!!!

LEARNING FROM A TREE

© Sandy Rodgers Ministries

May 25th

I have begun to truly look at trees. There appears to be a very magical essence about them. They are protection and resident for certain animals. They provide shade and coolness for people on a hot day. Trees are strong and most are tall. Some have huge trunks while others do not.

So what can we learn from a tree? We can learn to be strong yet bend with situations. The high winds come and we sway, we do not break. We gently acknowledge the harshness of the outer conditions while not allowing them to destroy us. We accept we cannot control all influences. Yet we know our strength is not in changing them but how we hold ourselves up during the process. Trees do not change during a storm or high winds, a tree is always a tree.

At certain times of the year a tree knows it is time to shed old leaves to make room for new ones to appear. Trees do not fight against the natural rhythm of life. They graciously allow the old leaves to fall away. Happily they anticipate the arrival of new leaves that come with the changing of the season. Trees know they must die to some things in order to give and have new life in others.

Trees have strong roots that go deep within the earth. Trees know who they are. Each tree I see in a unique expression of itself. They are individual with the same qualities.

I learn from trees. I learn the essence of living from trees. I do not deviate from who I am, a rich and highly blessed child of The One Source. I can and do bend with situations while remaining exactly who I am. I do not break from extreme or severe situations. I stand my ground because my roots are firmly planted in fertile soil. My roots are deep, I pay honor to my Ancestors for beginning the root that I am now a part of. I provide safety and refuge for those who are less fortunate.

I appreciate and welcome the newness in the change of seasons which are displayed by the new leaves on my branches. Thanks God/Goddess for giving me so many examples that I can learn from, especially the trees!

FOUNDATION

© Sandy Rodgers Ministries

May 24th

My stepfather, Odis Brown taught me and my siblings the importance of building a strong foundation. He founded Brown and Brown Construction in Los Angeles many years ago. In his construction work he demonstrated the absolute necessity of a solid foundation. A building cannot stand for long without first having a secure and strong foundation. You cannot build anything on a weak foundation, for it will surely collapse over time. This same illustration can be used for all areas of life and living.

Is your life built on a strong foundation? What materials make up your foundation? Did you hire an engineer to help? Have your blueprints passed IN-spection?

My life is built on the Love and Promises of God/Goddess. I believe my life is a gift. I believe I am here for a reason. I trust this is my time to flourish. I know I am to multiply and to be of good cheer. In multiplying, I add to the goodness of the Universe. I add peace and harmony. I add justice and service. In all my activities, I multiply.

My foundation is strong, sturdy and solid. My foundation is constructed on Truth principles. The truth is each person is made in the image and after the likeness of The Creator. Each has an equal right to be here at this time. I know that all is deserving of honor and respect. I give my best at all times starting with myself.

My foundation consists of unconditional love. I have no expectations of others loving me in return. If they so choose I am a grateful recipient. Otherwise I remain obedient to that which I am to do, love without expectations. Included in my foundation are the materials of Joy, Hope, Faith, Wisdom, Strength, Harmony and Acceptance.

My life is built upon a solid foundation. Therefore I stand erect, knowing that I can accomplish all that I am to do. I am governed by Grace and Mercy. I Am Thankful.

THE HEART

©Sandy Rodgers Ministries

May 23rd

By definition, the heart is the central, vital or main part; core; the center.

Consider this definition: at heart – in one’s innermost nature, or heartfelt – sincere, genuine.

What are you allowing to reside in your core? What emotions are controlling your vital part? What state is your innermost nature in?

Today I consciously choose to flex the muscles of my Heart with acceptance and unconditional love. I exercise with God/Goddess and follow the routine of displaying harmony and justice to all. I know that the more I use and exercise this heart muscle the greater and stronger it becomes. I am building this muscle into the awesome power it is. As I loosen the tightness of negative emotions and unforgiveness my heart is freed and feels joyous. The muscle relaxes and operates in sheer bliss, knowing it has absolutely nothing to fear. Love conquers all and fills every space of my heart.

I offer heartfelt appreciation for all that has been given to me through God/Goddess. I sing praises to The Most High. The Creator is my Source. My heart sings songs of gratitude and thanksgiving.

God/Goddess is my center and in my heart at all times. I choose to demonstrate love in all interactions. Love is my only choice when I consider God/Goddess is IN my heart expressing through me at all times.

My heart is filled to overflowing with God/Goddess’ Grace and Mercy. I satisfy myself first. Then, I pour from my overflowing cup to others. I provide a wonderful beverage in their time of thirst. I offer a drink from my cup because I know that my cup is continuously being refilled by The Master. My cup is always overflowing.

Thanks God/Goddess for filling me up! Thanks God/Goddess for my wonderful Heart. I keep it in excellent condition by daily exercising it with complete love for myself and others. Thanks God/Goddess. I Give THANKS!!

I ACCEPT NEW BEGINNINGS

© Sandy Rodgers Ministries

May 22nd

I give thanks today for new beginnings. There is a miracle inside of each beginning. There is also a gift in newness.

In my expectation of a new beginning, I acknowledge I am required to accept endings. I must make room for the newness to enter my reality. I cannot hold two thoughts for the same thing. When my true desire is for newness to be manifested, there will be something that I am required to release. I do so graciously with love.

Are my thoughts in total alignment with my expectations? Perhaps it is time for me to release some old worn out beliefs about what I am entitled to receive in this life. Do I have a habit that prevents me from living the life I desire? I know I am to release it to allow the new beginning to take form and manifest. I gladly release without any attachments. There are no thoughts of lack and scarcity in my newness.  I am fully open to receiving all that my heart desires.

I allow goodness to flow into my life and affairs. I remove all blockages in my thoughts and words. I push towards the prize. I accept the gift of newness. A fresh beginning is mine.

I may mourn the leaving of something yet I trust I can and will survive. I choose to live totally in faith and trust the process of renewal. I willingly make room for new beginnings.

I accept new beginnings and I know that all things change. I can choose to accept that new beginnings are a natural occurrence. That each moment represents a new beginning and the moment that has just ended is gone forever. I can never again relive that same moment in time. I am grateful for my wisdom of discernment.

I am excited to accept New Beginnings.
